Make a Privacy Request

Use this page to ask about the information Bright Ideas Company holds about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to opt out of our marketing, or to ask that your likeness be removed from work we produced.

We extend these rights to anyone who asks, whatever state you live in. We would rather answer the request than argue about whether we have to.

What you can ask for

  • Know. What information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we have it, and who we shared it with
  • Access. A copy of the information we hold about you
  • Correct. A fix to anything inaccurate
  • Delete. Removal of information we collected from you
  • Portability. A copy in a format you can take elsewhere
  • Opt out. Stop marketing email, or stop targeted advertising where it applies
  • Remove your likeness. Take your image or voice out of work displayed on this site
  • Appeal. Ask us to reconsider a request we denied

Who can submit

You, on your own behalf. Or an authorized agent acting for you, in which case we will verify their authority before we act.

What we need from you

Enough to find your records and confirm the request is really from you. The form asks for it. We do not ask for a government identification number and we do not ask you to create an account.

What happens next

  1. Within two business days you get an acknowledgment from a real person at Bright Ideas Company confirming we received the request.
  2. We verify it is you, usually by matching what you submitted against records we already hold. If we need one more detail, we ask.
  3. We locate your information across our systems.
  4. We respond within 45 days. If a request is complex and we need more time, we tell you before the first 45 days runs out and we explain why.
  5. If we deny any part of it, we say which part and why. You can appeal, and we respond to appeals in writing.

We do not charge for a request. We do not treat you differently for making one.

If you are unhappy with the outcome

Reply to our response and ask for an appeal. If you are still unsatisfied after the appeal, you may contact the attorney general in your state. We will give you their contact information with our appeal response.
