Cookie Policy

1. What This Covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Bright Ideas Company uses cookies and similar technologies on wemakebright.com.

It sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which covers everything else we collect and why. If anything here conflicts with the Privacy Notice, this page governs cookies and the Privacy Notice governs the rest.

2. What Cookies Are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember things: that you have visited before, what you clicked, what settings you chose.

Similar technologies do related work. Pixels are small pieces of code that report back when a page loads. Local storage holds information in your browser rather than in a cookie file. Device identifiers let a service recognize a browser across visits. This page uses the word "cookies" for all of it.

Cookies are set either by us, which are called first party cookies, or by a service we use, which are called third party cookies.

3. Why We Use Them

Three reasons, and no more than three:

To make the site work. Some cookies are required for basic function: loading pages, submitting a form, and keeping the site secure. Without these the site breaks.

To understand how the site is used. Which pages people read, where they came from, how long they stayed, what they clicked. This tells us which work in the portfolio is landing and which pages are not doing their job.

We do not use cookies to build a profile of you for sale. We do not sell cookie data. We do not use session replay tools that record your mouse movements, scrolls, or keystrokes.

5. How Long They Last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.

Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or until you delete them. Durations vary by cookie and go in the table above once the scan is run.

6. Your Choices

Your browser. Every major browser lets you block cookies, delete cookies already stored, or be warned before one is set. Look under Settings or Help. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the site.

Everything else. To ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, use the Privacy Request form.

7. Do Not Track And Global Privacy Control

Do Not Track. Browsers send this signal in different ways and there is no agreed standard for responding to it. wemakebright.com does not respond to Do Not Track. The controls in Section 6 do work.

8. Changes

We update this policy when our tools change or the law changes. When we do, the Last Updated date at the top changes and the revised policy is posted here.
