United States State Privacy Rights
Last Updated · September 19, 2026
Scope
This page supplements the Bright Ideas Company Privacy Notice. It applies to residents of United States states with an effective comprehensive privacy law.
Bright Ideas Company extends the rights below to residents of any state, whether or not that state's law currently requires it. We would rather honor a request than argue about jurisdiction.
The rights
Right to confirm and access. Confirm whether we process your personal data and get a copy of it.
Right to correct. Have inaccurate personal data corrected, taking into account the nature of the data and the purpose of processing.
Right to delete. Have personal data we collected about you deleted, subject to the legal exceptions in Section 8 of the Privacy Notice.
Right to data portability. Obtain your data in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format.
Right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. Bright Ideas Company does not sell personal data and does not conduct profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not process personal data for targeted advertising.
Right to appeal. If we deny your request, you may appeal. We will respond in writing within the period your state's law allows and explain our reasoning. If we deny the appeal, we will give you the contact information for your state attorney general so you may submit a complaint.
Right against discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
Sensitive data. Several state laws require consent before processing sensitive data. Bright Ideas Company does not collect or process sensitive data as those laws define it.
How to exercise them
Email info@wemakebright.com or write to the address in Section 14 of the Privacy Notice. Tell us which right you are exercising and give us enough detail to locate your records. We verify every request before acting on it.
We respond within 45 days where state law sets that period, and we may extend once where the law permits, in which case we will tell you before the first period runs out.
States covered
These states have comprehensive privacy laws in effect, and residents of each may exercise the rights above. Individual state laws vary in detail, including response deadlines, appeal procedures, and applicability thresholds. Where a state grants a right beyond what is listed here, we honor it.
California residents: see the California Privacy Notice.
Nevada
Nevada residents may submit a verified request directing us not to sell covered information. Bright Ideas Company does not sell covered information as Nevada defines it. Requests go to info@wemakebright.com.
Washington and Nevada health data
Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's health data law regulate consumer health data. Bright Ideas Company does not collect, process, or sell consumer health data.
